I will be developing on top of the open source e-commerce package called OSCommerce.
This includes developing a new theme relevant to Jewlery shopping instead of the basic theme that comes with library.
The following new features would be added to cater the needs of a professional Jewelery site:
1) A new class called "Specials" would allow merchants to list items on sale.
2) Description of the items posted will be refactored automatically to make it more appealing.
3) Customers will be able to write reviews on only the items they have purchased.
4) New sample pages to describe the general items like Gold, Stones etc. to the customers.
5) Secured admin interface.

1. Outline a possible interface design.
2. Create a new library of UI images and icons.
3. Implement the functionality of the new Specials class.
4. Chnages to the way the items are listed.
5. Install a payment interface i.e. Paypal for my first client.
6. Test item uploads and some sample orders.
